Strengthen regional capacity in TB research. We are building upon our national and regional training networks, and developing the next generation of TB research leaders through mentoring and skills training at well-supported research sites in Australia and high TB-burden settings.

Our TB CRE training strategy aims to develop future leaders in TB research and policy across Australia and the Indo-Pacific. By leveraging a regional network, we offer trainees access to high TB incidence settings, research environments, and advanced laboratories. We will support PhD students and early career researchers, providing opportunities for collaborative research, policy translation and guideline development. The program connects trainees with international clinical trial networks, offering learning through global research partnerships.
